| Article | DALTON (August 20, 2008)— Bart Rich has been named Director, Brand Management for Mohawk Soft Surface products, a new position. Rich will be responsible for Mohawk’s residential and fashion brand management teams, including Mohawk Aligned Dealers. He will help define and develop the overall strategic direction of the marketing team while working closely with the Sales, Product and Market Development teams to ensure alignment and execution of the business plans. “For the last eight years, Bart has demonstrated over and over his value to Mohawk and our retailers,” said David Duncan, Vice President of Marketing. “His creative thinking and ability to bring teams of talented people together will be a tremendous asset as we continue to strengthen the products and programs we offer our retailers.” “Mohawk is not just a strong brand, but a strong innovator,” Rich said. “Revolutionary products like SmartStrand Carpet made with renewably sourced DuPont Sorona polymer demonstrate this. Our challenge is to look for the best ways to help our retailers take advantage of the ideas we offer.” Prior to his new position, Rich served as Mohawk’s National Accounts Credit Manager and as National Accounts Manager (Sales, Karastan Division). He is a 1996 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with B.S. Economics. In 2004, he received his M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. |
