| Article | CHAGRIN FALLS, OHIO—Bill Cralley has been picked to head Tarkett’s North American residential business, it was announced recently by Jeff Buttitta, president and CEO of Tarkett North America. The appointment is part of an effort to provide dedicated leadership to key areas of its business. In a related move, Guillaume Laverdure was installed as president of Canadian operations and business development. “In the recent past, we’ve taken considerable steps in developing a strong and sustainable story and position for Tarkett,” Buttitta said. “It’s our belief these efforts must continue since our distribution network and retailers are looking to Tarkett for not only outstanding products and service, but also an uncompromised positive customer experience. These appointments will ensure execution of wide reaching business strategies critical to future success.” Said Cralley on why he joined Tarkett, “I saw an opportunity to become part of a dynamic organization with strong brands and a vision for growth. Our goal is to position Tarkett Residential as the premier brand in the residential segment of the flooring industry by creating an uncompromised, positive customer experience.” Since 2004, Cralley was president of Edge Flooring, a Georgia-based flooring manufacturer. He was previously president of Alcoa Architectural Products, a $500 million division of ALCOA. Cralley’s general management leadership, coupled with familiarity with building products, flooring distribution and retail, will be a significant benefit in leading the development and execution of new business initiatives, noted Buttitta. Laverdure’s new appointment will allow him to focus on critical areas for Tarkett Residential, he said, including key account management and business development opportunities.
