| Article | BOCA RATON, FLORIDA—June 17, 2008—Q.E.P. CO., INC. (Nasdaq: QEPC), announced today that Vernon Cox has joined the company as Vice President of Sales, Commerical Division. Vernon comes to QEP from Laticrete International where he spent the past six years and held the position of North American Sales Manager for the last two years. Prior experience also includes three years as a Territory Manager with H.B. Fuller. Commenting on Vernon’s arrival, Jamie Clingan, Q.E.P.’s Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing stated: “Vernon’s familiarity with our industry, knowledge of the products and services needed, and his professional approach to the marketplace make him the ideal candidate for this position”. Cox has spent the past 10 years in the Flooring Industry with a concentration on Ceramic Tile and Stone Distributors and Contractors. His in-depth knowledge of project specifications and distribution will be paramount as we look to grow our Commercial Division. Vernon commented on his joining QEP “I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with such a well known and respected organization such as QEP and all of its subsidiaries. Building off of the already great reputation, quality products and outstanding services will work perfectly with my strengths and leadership abilities. I am really looking forward to the future with this great organization.” Vernon has been an active member of many trade organizations such as CSI, NTCA and the CTDA where he recently held a position on the Board of Directors. Other accomplishments included completing his MBA at the University of New Haven in West Haven CT, and serving in the U.S. Army Reserve for 6 years as a Military Police Officer. Q.E.P. Co., Inc., founded in 1979, is a leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of a broad line of flooring tools and accessories for the home improvement and professional installer markets.
