| Article | RACINE, WIS.—Fritz Rench has returned to Racine Industries to resume his duties as the company’s CEO. Rench had been away from the maker of the Host Dry Extraction Carpet Cleaning System for 10 years due to medical reasons. He originally joined the company in 1958 as a sales manager. With his return, Quin Rench was named chairman of the family business. Also, Geoff Rench was appointed COO. Upon his return to the company, Fritz called it, “exhilarating. I never officially retired.” While admitting the industry has certainly changed during his absence, he added, “At my age (76) I’m not the management wave of the future. But with brother Quin as chairman on one side, and brother Geoff as COO on the other, they’ll keep me propped up long enough to make good progress and to have some fun.” Racine was founded in 1935 by H.D. Rench. Today, Host products, which have achieved Green Seal certification and have been tested as biobased by the Department of agriculture, are used by approximately 23,000 industry professional in 60 countries.
