| Article | The Applied Coatings Group, a leading manufacturer of decorative glass products utilizing dichroic thin film technology to manage color, has launched the Extreme Series from its Modono Collection of glass tiles. The Extreme Series features intense color combinations in a vast array of textures designed to bring a stunning new option for hospitality and commercial architects, specifiers and designers. Extreme utilizes screaming colors for an active installation where the colors move and change based on the lighting even after the product is installed. The Extreme Series is available in eight different textured patterns and 11 colors including Blue Grotto, Blue Viva, Chestnut Rose, Invitation Pink, Mother of Pearl, Orange Blast, Orchid Green, Oriental Turquoise, River Green, Steel Olive Gold and Sunrise. The Extreme Series is available in 11 different sizes ranging from 2” x 2” mosaics to 12” x 12” and 12” x 24” large format options, and can be installed using traditional thin-set methods or mechanically anchored in an architectural system for large-format installations. The Applied Coatings Group is a leader in optical thin-film technology, creating designer-friendly glass tiles and panels that reflect and transmit specific wavelengths of color depending on the intensity and direction of the light source, as well as the viewer’s perspective.
