| Article | BURNSVILLE, MINN.—Midwest Regional Marketing, a privately held company headquartered here and parent to both Floor To Ceiling and World of Floors, has adopted the new name of Preferred Brands. The company was formed in 1990, doing business in the upper Midwest as Floor To Ceiling interior design showrooms. According to Steve Sindlinger, president/CEO of Preferred Brands, the new name accurately describes the company’s growing brand offering and its nationwide scope of business. “With the addition of World of Floors into our company (FCNews, Aug. 6/13, 2007), we felt the time was right to develop a corporate identity and image,” said Sindlinger. “It did not make sense to continue to use Floor To Ceiling as our corporate name to the industry. We felt it was important to develop a name that would promote Floor To Ceiling and World of Floors equally, as well as potential other future brands. “This name positions us very well for future growth. We have expertise in several industries that I believe lend themselves to offering additional brands into the marketplace. We will continue to strategically monitor all areas of opportunity for growth, wherever it makes sense.” Sindlinger noted, one of the ways Preferred Brands monitors these growth areas is to simply be aware of what is happening in all the industries the company is involved in. “We’re always striving to be aware of opportunities that may arise.
