| Article | Miami, FL—Cikel America LLC, the North American subsidiary of one the world's largest vertically integrated forest products manufacturers, announced major appointments within its stateside upper management. Gerry Schappell has been appointed Vice President, Cikel North America. He comes to Cikel from Hoboken Floors, where he began as the firm’s Connecticut General Manager in 1987, advancing to Corporate Wood Product Manager in 1996 and then being promoted to Vice President in 1999. Mr. Schappell is primarily responsible for building the Cikel brand across North America. The company has also named George Celtrick to the position of Director of Sales. Mr. Celtrick has over two decades of experience in the wood flooring industry, most recently at Austin Hardwood Flooring where he served as General Partner. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Sales for Harris-Tarkett. Jason Ranney also has joined Cikel America as Operations Manager. A former employee for the past four years at Hoboken Floors, Florida Division, his responsibilities include overseeing all operations of the company’s Miami facility, including managing the three warehouses. Cikel's parent company in Brazil owns more than one million acres of FSC managed forests and has garnered international acclaim for its work relative to environmental responsibilities.
