| Article | CHICAGO—Like an increasing number of industry organizations, the Chicago Floorcovering Association (CFA) recognizes the importance of technology and how it can aid the group in reaching both members and consumers. Accordingly, the association recently launched its newly designed Web site, www.chicagoflooring.org. Cecil Treadway, CFA’s executive director, said new features were created for consumers and members alike, and include: • A retailer locator so consumers can find a nearby CFA member. • Links to sites where up-to-date information can be readily found about all types of floor covering. • A members-only area to access association events, news and industry information. “The Internet is the fastest growing communication highway consumers are now traveling, and CFA is working to keep the road open and available to members and consumers alike,” Treadway said.
