The openings we need filled are the leg openings of KneePoc Pants, a revolutionary new product designed by carpet installers for carpet installers. This innovative, newly designed product  is being introduced nationwide this month. The pants, a denim jean with removable knee pads, has been granted patents for its unique features and will be available for shipment by Labor Day.

Company owners Danny Vo and Bob  Warner, plan to sell  the pants  through their internet site, www.kneepoc.com, and installation supply distributors.  KneePoc pants are the creation of a hardwood flooring contractor who was tired of his knees hurting every day after work.  “The professionals in the flooring industry needed an alternative to the discomfort and hassle of traditional knee pads.  I was always taking the pads on and off, and the straps caused chafing. A
good pair of knee pads is also expensive, and I’d lose a couple of pair every year besides.  We decided  there had to be a better solution,”  said Vo.  “We needed something comfortable, protective and affordable, and spent months designing and testing different products before we found the right combination and applied for our patent,” added Warner. The pants are available with or without leather patches.  “The leather on the knee  makes the pants more durable, but there are people who want the look of a more traditional pair of jeans, so we sell them both ways. Either way, the pants are 100% cotton denim and are completely washable just like a regular pair of jeans, except you  have to remember to remove the knee pads first!”

The response to the pants has been phenomenal,” said Warner.  “Everything is coming together at once, and our first shipment is almost  sold out.  We want to get our distributor network in place to get  better nationwide exposure. At the same time, we are launching the product via sponsorship of installation classes and competitions as well as our  internet site until we can get time to show it to the local distributors across the country.” The company also plans to sell the patented pants to plumbers, painters and  other professionals who spend a lot of time working on their knees.  “We’re working on overalls now, and some lighter colors and fabrics for painters. We’ve also had some requests from weekend gardeners, but we want to get the flooring installers covered first, then move on to everyone else who gets sore knees!”  quipped Warner.
