The Luminar collection, part of GranitiFiandre’s futuristic GeoStyle category of products, is a brilliant surfacing innovation that merges light energy with product design. “We are very pleased to share the announcement of Luminar’s expanded color range with the American A&D community, who has so enthusiastically responded to this innovative collection since its initial launch in the Fall of 2007,” said Jeanne Nichols, vice president—sales and marketing for GranitiFiandre in the United States. “Luminar’s patented porcelain technology delivers a design marvel of texture, depth, and dimension in five lustrous shades.” At Coverings 2008, to be held April 29 – May 2 in Orlando, GranitiFiandre will unveil a new tradeshow exhibit (Booth No. 3200) designed especially for Coverings and clad in the Luminar Collection. Created with an interactive porcelain material that reflects and generates light, Luminar materials release a continuous stream of tactile and visual experiences on most surfaces. Luminar’s visual impact comes from the unique optical effect of its surface design—a continuous series of concentric circular engravings created in part through a special treatment applied to the porcelain tile. OptoWhite and OptoBlack join the initial color offerings of OptoGold, OptoSilver, and OptoBronze to round out this contemporary collection offered in the popular 24"x 24" format.
