Article DALTON (February 20, 2008)—Consumers will find all of the flooring resources needed right at their fingertips with a new Web site recently launched by Mohawk Industries, the world’s leading floor covering company.

“MohawkFlooring.com gives our consumers the information and tools they need to make the best flooring decision for their home,” said David Duncan, vice president of marketing, Mohawk Residential. “MohawkFlooring.com is a complete flooring resource, and this Web site encompasses almost everything Mohawk offers.”

My Mohawk RoomMate, one of the most significant additions to the Web site, asks consumers eight simple questions, and then recommends a flooring type and collection that best fits that consumer’s specific needs.

“Investing in flooring for your home is about more than the final picture,” said Duncan. “With so many flooring options to choose from, My Mohawk RoomMate helps narrow the choices down to make certain you get the most out of your Mohawk Flooring.”

My Mohawk RoomMate looks at the characteristics of the room considered for new flooring. Consumers answer questions about the amount traffic in the room, who uses the room most, and the pets that live in the home. At the end of the short questionnaire, a link to the recommended product gallery is provided.

Even without using My Mohawk RoomMate, visitors can now browse thousands of flooring options in the product galleries. The galleries, individual to each flooring category, include options such as color, texture, materials, or installation to narrow selections quickly.
