Article Syosset, N.Y.—Wool and synthetic broadloom products and area rugs producer Stanton Carpet Corp. has moved “just around the corner” to a new larger space and will unveil “a fantastic array of high-style products” for Surfaces 2008 at booth 4618.

According to Jonathan Cohen, executive vice president for Stanton, “Our product development team is second to none. Stanton will unveil many fabulous new collections that use edgy designs and color pallets to bring our customers the greatest in decorative styling for 2008.”

New from Stanton is the Wiltrix Collection, a 13-foot x 2-inch width, 80% wool/20% nylon. Luxury and high style with an edge describes this new woven Wilton collection, noted Cohen. “Featuring a fantastic new color line of soft green, browns and blues, rich tans and black, these two new patterns will become instant transitional classics. Each pattern features a softer use of geometrics with easy lines and a simple yet sophisticated look that a discriminating consumer can easily decorate with.”

The Victoria Collection is a 13-foot x 2-inch width, 100% New Zealand wool product. “After a very successful launch in 2007, we have added a new more modern design balanced with rich tones of brown, blue, deep caramel, soft blue, greens and dark hues aptly called Grace,” said Cohen. Woven on a Wilton loom, this pattern and collection uses a soft yet visible tweeding effect that “emulates beautiful striations.”

Textured Wilton Collection is another 13-foot x 2-inch width, 100% New Zealand wool product. Of all New Zealand wool, this collection takes Wiltons to a new, not seen before level of texture, noted Cohen. “Combining aesthetic beauty in new geometric and damasks designs, this collection features high/low loop texturing that gives this carpet depth and dimension like no other Wilton before it.” Utilizing three colors within each design, this new pallet uses the latest of today’s blues, greens, browns, tans and reds.

New Line Cut/New Line Loop is a 13-foot x 2-inch width, 100% wool with viscose product. “Stanton continues to pioneer with this ground-breaking collection of wall-to-wall carpet that is hand made from 100% wool with viscose highlights that create the pattern,” Cohen said. “A perfectly balanced combination of a cut pile wool base and slightly tweeded raised viscose creates the scroll work and more modern designs of this edgy new collection.”

The re-designed Elite display will also be showcased. In 1999, Stanton was among the first of the decorative flooring companies to unveil a rich and aesthetically pleasing display standing 8 feet tall and 6-1/2 feet wide. Last modified in 2004, Stanton “has made this decorative classic better than ever,” Cohen explained.

“The 2008 model of the Elite display now features over 7-1/2 feet of space and is the only display on the market that can be used as either a swing arm display or a board display or both at the same time,” he explained. “This new model can hold up to 100 display boards, 24 x 36-inch in size or can be used as a Stanton Runner display to hold several hundred cut samples of our over 250 runner SKUs. Featuring the now classic mahogany veneer and hand-carved headers, this display is dramatically lit in four areas and, while commanding a large presence, this display’s efficient use of space is unrivaled.”

New from Royal Dutch

Royal Dutch continues to deliver high-styled, innovative products at mainstream pricing for Surfaces 2008 with unparalleled use of branded Royaltron Polypropylene fibers for incredibly decorative looks, he said.

The Magic Collection is a 13-foot x 2-inch width, 100% Royaltron polypropylene product. Designed so well and innovatively, it’s literally like magic, Cohen noted. “This new collection makes innovative use of four specially treated lustrous yarns and four complementing colors yarns combined for incredibly detailed and silky all over appearance. The collection sports four designs that use new classic and modern styling for an edge without going over the top. Woven of our Royaltron polypropylene, each of the four designs will be available in five to six hues.”

The Kilimanjaro Collection is a 13-foot x 2-inch width, 100% Royaltron polypropylene product. Royal Dutch has redefined animal designs in the last two years with the debuts of its Kilimanjaro collection, Cohen noted.
