Article Interactive exhibits, product giveaways and a 110-pound Great Dane awaited Salinas, Calif., flooring customers at the grand reopening of Cinderella Carpet One in November. Pergo, the inventor and leading manufacturer of laminate flooring, sponsored a two-day tent event packed with entertainment and education designed to inform local consumers about the benefits of laminate flooring and to support this valued specialty retailer.

The Pergo event allowed Cinderella Carpet One customers to experience the beauty of genuine Pergo through displays that showcased the brand’s latest and most innovative designs – including looks from the Vintage Home and Select Traditional Strip collections, as well as the exotic-inspired World Traveler line. Attendees also were able to show off their DIY skills – and test out the ease of Pergo product installation – by participating in hands-on demonstrations.

“Cinderella Carpet One always has been a strong and loyal Pergo retailer, and we’re proud to have been a significant part of its recent grand reopening,” said David Small, director of marketing for Pergo. “This event also gave us an invaluable opportunity to convey to local residents that ‘There’s Only One Pergo’ in terms of realism, durability and cutting-edge technologies.”

Pergo’s new “spokes dog” – who shares his name with the flooring brand – also made a special appearance at the tent event. The loveable Great Dane, star of Pergo’s new print and television advertising campaigns, mingled with the crowd and flaunted his puppy charms.

All attendees at the Pergo-sponsored tent saved 20 percent on any Pergo flooring purchased during the two day event. Brand representatives were on-hand to offer helpful advice regarding décor selection and to answer questions about installation and maintenance.

“This was a great opportunity to build Pergo brand awareness and loyalty among consumers in the Salinas area while also celebrating our long and successful partnership with Cinderella Carpet One,” said Small.
