| Article | Accord Flooring’s latest product development is the Brisbane Collection, engineered, hardwood flooring with the ease of a glueless, click-system installation. This flooring offers quick installation, superior stability, moisture resistance and the beauty of exotic hardwoods. Because of the AccoLoc™ licensed click joint mechanism, this floating floor is easily installed and if necessary, easily removed to another location. Laura Dawson, Marketing Director of Accord Flooring states, “We are very concerned with making things easier in the installation arena and much of our R&D focuses on new product development. Our click-system can be installed in just about any environmental surface, including concrete and even heated floors”. There are many features that set the Brisbane Collection apart and of primary importance is the fact that this product incorporates unique moisture resistant features in the flooring. A 9 mm HMR (humidity resistant) HDF (high density fiberboard) core is employed and sealed on all sides. This provides superior moisture resistance to spills and humidity. To further increase the moisture resistance, the plywood layer is also sealed to resist moisture and ensure total balance in the flooring. Additionally, the use of exotic hardwoods brings a richer look and unique beauty to the flooring. The wood is finely milled with micro-beveled edges and dry-sawn to create a cleaner edge that highlights the beauty, elegance and value of the flooring. This collection is offered in two widths; 3 ½” and 5” to allow for a more custom design installation.
