Article Las Vegas—Glueless click and lock systems have caught on in hardwood, and nowhere was this wave better displayed than at Surfaces 2007. Followed closely by other trends such as darker, more exotic species, rustic looks and a variety of colors, mills from across the globe strutted their newest and latest stuff.

Mannington introduced its Caspian Collection with its new Loc n Go system. For Mirage Prefinished Hardwood Floors, the buzz had to do with its new 3-ply lock product with a 2mm top, HDF core and solid wood backing. Preverco’s new locking system is faster and easier to install. And, Mullican Flooring debuted Austin Springs—designed specifically as a floating floor, premiering its “loc-to-fit” system.

Wood Flooring International unveiled the Monteverde Collection, a prefinished, engineered line including exotics. And, Preverco debuted its Exotic Series. Mannington’s new Atlantis features exotic looks as well. Mountain Lumber Co. announced it acquired a limited supply of original Guinness Brewing vat wood planks. Award Hardwood Floors introduced three new finishes in its Terra Bella Collection and debuted its random width flooring. Mirage debuted Earl grey, while Mercier introduced a new golden-hued stain color, Dijon.
