| Article | UFLOOR Systems, Inc., the North American subsidiary of the Uzin-Utz Group, Germany’s premier manufacturer of high quality systems for all floor covering applications, introduces UZIN PE 480, a two-component, roller-applied epoxy moisture-barrier for the installation of all floor coverings, including hardwood flooring. A water- and solvent-free compound, UZIN PE 480 completely eliminates moisture and vapor transmissions from concrete slab substrates. UZIN PE 480 acts as a restriction-free, damp-proofing barrier against extremely high moisture levels on moisture resistant surfaces. Due to its high viscosity, UZIN PE 480 has excellent filling capacity and a rapid setting time to produce a very heavy-duty performance. UZIN PE 480 is ideal for use on top of mineral substrates, such as cement, concrete, ceramics and terrazzo, and can be grit-binded as a bonding coat for leveling compounds.
