| Article | CLIFTON, NJ (October 2007)—Imagine Tile, the industry leader pioneering the use of high-resolution imagery in commercially rated ceramic tile, has two tile products featured in the new hit TV show CANE, airing Tuesday nights this Fall on CBS. Cynthia Cidre famous for writing the “Mambo Kings” film, created Cane, staring Jimmy Smits, Hector Elizondo, Rita Moreno among other known actors and actresses. Eve Cauley, Production Designer, along with Writer, Cynthia Cidre and Director, Christian Duguay helped form the shows look and style. Eve Cauley states “My Production Design’s saturated colors were inspired by her (Cynthia’s) wonderful writing, and my pictorial research of the Cuban heritage and South Florida. Christian’s background before directing was as a Director of Photography, so he was very supportive of keeping my color palette throughout. They were both a joy to work with. I selected Imagine Tile for its beautiful saturated colors, which remind me of the Floridian water and sky. I also love Imagine Tile because it is the height of fashion, very avante guard and unique. I wanted Jimmy Smits character Alex Vega and his family to have a home with the highest quality design, with a balance of new tasteful artiness and colors that honored their heritage. The main colors of the film are green, yellow and blue, like sugar cane, sun and sky/water. With red used periodically for danger, and orange for heat!
