| Article | UFLOOR Systems, Inc., the North American subsidiary of the Uzin-Utz Group, Germany’s premier manufacturer of high quality products for the installation and surface treatment of all floor covering options, introduces: UZIN MK 95, a solvent- and water-free polyurethane wood flooring adhesive with hard-elastic properties. UZIIN MK 95 has the quickest drying time on the market, and can be sanded and finished after just 24 hours. A one-component polyurethane adhesive, UZIN MK 95 is suitable for the commercial or residential installation of moisture-sensitive wood. UZIN MK 95 sets rapidly, yet has a sufficient working time of 50 to 60 minutes. This hard-elastic adhesive has no swelling effect due to excellent trowel-ridge formations which secure the wood flooring to the substrate, limiting any potential deflection in the wood. UZIN MK 95 spreads easily, remains elastomeric for the life of the installation and is high in initial tack. As a solvent- and water-free adhesive, UZIN MK 95 cleans easily when wet and emits very low levels of VOC’s UZIN MK 95 is a technically reliable alternative for almost all types of wood flooring and subfloor preparation, including solid shorts, multi-ply and pre-finished wood, mosaics and solids. MK 95 is suitable for use on surfaces with adequate strength, such as cement and calcium sulphate screeds, concrete and high-strength plywood, and is compatible with all floor warming options.
