Article | Surfaces 2008 will offer its largest show floor to date with nearly 520,000 net square feet of space showcasing every floor covering product imaginable, from hardwood to carpet, ceramic tile to stone and everything else in between. More real business gets done at Surfaces than at any other industry event. Every year, more than 40,000 floor covering professionals come to Surfaces to find new products, meet with exhibitors, connect with new suppliers and place orders. Thousands of the latest products, supplies, technology and installation methods are introduced by some of the top flooring manufacturers in the industry. Surfaces is all about bringing the industry all that’s new in floor covering products. New in 2008 are three product pavilions featuring some of the latest, most innovative products in the industry: Get “first looks” at the newest in floor covering products in the New Product Pavilion. Touch, feel and see the very distinct and intricate craftsmanship of hand-made custom tiles in the Hand-crafted Tile Pavilion. Get an up-close look at the rich, bold colors and textures of concrete in the Decorative Concrete Pavilion. Surfaces will again boast an exceptional and comprehensive conference program with key industry experts speaking on various topics affecting the floor covering industry today. The conference program will contain 42 seminars and workshops focusing on what’s important to every segment of the industry, whether you’re a retailer, distributor, installer, architect or designer. The seminars and workshops are categorized into five different tracks: business, sales, marketing, design and installation providing invaluable information in every area required to run a successful floor covering business. New to Surfaces are six mini-sessions covering the latest trends and ideas in floor covering. These sessions provide an “out of the box” experience with discussions on European design trends, lighting and inventive selling techniques. The Surfaces conference program also serves as a venue for networking with other floor covering professionals and sharing ideas. Surfaces will again host the Installation Showcase, where many attendees gather throughout the day on the show floor to witness live demonstrations on time-saving, quality-enhancing installation techniques led by experts in the field. These experts install a variety of floor covering products: carpet, tile and stone, resilient, hardwood, laminate and more. The World Floor Covering Association is a driving force behind the success of Surfaces and as the official sponsor of the show continues to help shape each year’s show and its future direction. Registration for Surfaces, which will be held in Las Vegas at the Sands Expo and Convention Center from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, 2008, opens soon. Visit www.Surfaces.com for more information. |
