| Article | Cincinnati—Impax Technology Group has acquired the licensing rights to Nexicor’s KoolGlide Carpet Seaming System. Kool-Glide uses patented miniaturized induction heating technology to activate hot-melt seaming tape without heating the carpet. “This system eliminates the disadvantages of the old hot iron system such as heat distortion, smoke, odor and dripping glue,” noted Rob Rothfuss, president of Impax. “We think KoolGlide will one day replace the hot carpet seaming iron altogether.” Since its introduction, KoolGlide has been widely acclaimed by flooring experts. The Ohio Society of Professional Engineers honored it in 2005 with its New Product of the Year Award. For more information, call 513.583.4300. |
