Article Baltimore—For 21 years L&L Co. has been holding a charity golf tournament with vendors and builder customers to benefit local charities. And since 1996, it has raised over $299,000 for The Believe in Tomorrow program, which provides hospital and retreat housing services to critically ill children and their families—in this case for the Children’s House at Johns Hopkins.

This year’s event, held at the Renditions Golf Course in Davidsonville, Md., raised $40,000, showing that even during a tough business climate the flooring industry comes through in times of need.

“It is a rewarding feeling to see so many people support such a wonderful cause,” said Mike Geisler, L&L’s president. “We look forward to putting on this event every year and to help do something great for the community.”

“L&L has been an extraordinary company to work with over the years,” said Brian Morrison, founder of Believe In Tomorrow. “We are so grateful for its support over the years in helping us fulfill our mission. L&L helps set the bar that we all strive to achieve.”

Some of the sponsors of this year’s event included Elias Wilf, Mannington, J.J. Haines, Dixie Home Group, Shaw Industries, Mohawk Industries, Grasmick Lumber Co., Solutia, Ryan Homes, Gemcraft Homes, Floor Covering News and many more.
