In addition, Wood Reflections is offered with or without the manufacturer’s pre-attached and pre-trimmed sound reducing backing, Silent Comfort. “Since not all consumers have the same needs with regard to their flooring, we’re giving them a choice,” Newman said. “It’s also a great sell-up opportunity for dealers.” Wood Reflections is featured in some of the most popular shades and species, including Natural Maple, Natural Oak, Golden Oak and Gunstock Oak. To create the line, the wood is bonded to a strong, high-density fiberboard core engineered and manufactured by Witex. To protect the natural wood, a wear layer of aluminum oxide is used.

Even with the protective wear layer, Newman noted the company was able to maintain the natural variations and character of the wood. The line comes with a 15-year residential warranty.
