Article | Houston—Domco Tarkett Commercial has introduced a new resource kit, Azrock Integrated Flooring 2002, to architects, designers and specifiers. The kit, containing a catalog, design book and color chart, is designed to be kept on bookshelves for quick, on-the-spot reference. “We have created this literature to fit on bookshelves,” explained Kathy Holdridge, Domco Tarkett Commercial’s director of communications. “It’s a unique way to display Azrock’s broad spectrum of expertise—information right at your fingertips.” Items contained in the kit are a full-line 2002 catalog, design book and color palette poster along with environmental, retail, healthcare and educational brochures. “The kit highlights Azrock’s capabilities for some of the most demanding environments,” said Hold-ridge. “From environmentally-friendly to design-conscious projects.” In additional news, Domco Tarkett Commercial has added Insulation & Supply Co. as an Azrock brand distributor. With more than 40 years of experience in the flooring industry, Insulation & Supply is a family owned business which imports and distributes ceramic, porcelain, stone tile and Wilsonart laminate. It serves most of the Wisconsin and upper Michigan areas. “We only associate our business with name brand products that are known for quality,” noted Ed Oswald, CEO of Insulation & Supply. “Azrock compliments our business well and we welcome the opportunity to offer a new product to our existing customer base.” Azrock will be Insulation & Supply’s only resilient flooring offered to its dealers and commercial clients. “Insulation & Supply has a well established sales and delivery system that makes it a great partner for us,” noted Joe Jared, vice president of sales for the mill. In other news, Domco Tarkett Commercial, which recently moved its headquarters here, is doing its part in being a good neighbor. The manufacturer and its Azrock plant are helping the community by not only donating flooring to victims of tropical storm Allison, but its employees are also volunteering their time. While families are still homeless one year after the storm, employees have given their Saturdays throughout the summer in an effort to help ease the situation. On their own time, they have performed some of the vinyl installation work and are helping to build one of the homes for Houston Habitat For Humanity. Since moving here, Domco Tarkett has helped the community by fulfilling a need for 23,670 feet of vinyl flooring. “Houston Habitat For Humanity had asked us to donate flooring for 42 of its homes being built for the families of last year’s devastating flood,” said John Kozak, the manufacturer’s installation service manager. “Thanks to companies like Domco Tarkett Commercial and its employees,” explained Dave Daniels of Houston Habitat For Humanity, “we are able to reach out and meet the needs of families who are still affected by the tragic storm.” “Tropical storm Allison was a catastrophe we will never forget,” Kozak concluded. “It has been great to be able to use our talents and specialties to help out.” For additional information on Domco Tarket Commercial, contact the company at 800/366-2689. |
