| Article | Best Tile Distributors of New England, part of the East Coast Tile family, the largest importer of ceramic tile and stone in the Northeast, recently acquired five Boston Tile showrooms, four in Greater Boston and one in Warwick, Rhode Island, and has announced the appointment of Joe McGovern to commercial sales manager. McGovern will oversee Best Tile’s “re-entry” into the commercial sector from a new 7,550 square foot square foot facility in Woburn, MA. McGovern comes to Best Tile from United Distributors Inc. where he moved from inside phone sales to become the companies first commercial outside sales representative. In 1998, McGovern was appointed United's Sales & Marketing manager and began a partnership with GranitiFiandre as the companies jointly opened the GEOLOGICA showroom at the Boston Design Center. McGovern became GranitiFiandre's Northeast Regional Manager in 2004 with Best Tile as his largest client. McGovern started in the tile industry in 1985 managing the warehouse for Ceramic Tile Wholesalers in Saugus, MA, and was appointed store manager. In 1989, McGovern joined National Tile of North Reading, MA and spent five years working with homeowners, builders and tile contractors doing inside showroom sales.
