| Article | Kansas City, Mo.—The International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association (CFI) and World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) are offering educational programs throughout the country on a variety of installation subjects. Officials said these sessions are not just for mechanics, as dealers and salespeople will find the information beneficial. “CFI certification not only promotes the value of quality carpet installation, it also introduces installers to new techniques and tools that enhance their skills,” said Roland Thompson, president of the Maryland Northern Virginia Floor Covering Association and a CFI Master II installer. The programs are set to include certification for carpet installation professionals, installation training in all surfaces, estimating, carpet installation for the dealer and the inspector, in-house installation training designed for the hosting party and train-the-trainer programs.
