Article | Dalton—With its laminate manufacturing plant nearing completion, Shaw Industries is not slowing its efforts down to offer dealers a well-rounded collection of products within its Decades Laminate flooring line. To that end, the company has introduced the Natural Grande collection. David Wilkerson, vice president of marketing for hard surfaces, said products featured in Natural Grande are designed to offer the look and feel of large format natural stone tiles. “Natural Grande presents a unique flooring look for the consumer to choose from,” he explained. “The expansive visual of ceramic tile is captured in the oversized planks. Beyond just the look of genuine ceramic tile, each product is manufactured with a state-of-the-art texturing process, giving it a realistic feel.” Natural Grande is initially being offered in seven natural looking stone patterns, and is available in 16X47-in. planks to allow for easier installation and fewer seams. Wilkerson noted the styles and colors selected were chosen due to their naturally textured and richhued qualities. Despite their large size, Kevin Thompson, Shaw’s laminate brand manager said, “each plank captures the enhanced texture and grout lines of ceramic and is lightweight and easy to handle.” To help dealers display Natural Grande, Shaw has developed a stand-alone revolving display that takes up a minimum amount of floor space. “Yet it is still very eye-catching,” he explained, “as each plank is displayed in its entirety.” For more information on Natural Grande or Shaw’s laminate program, call the company at 706/275-1713. |
