Article | Dalton—With word that some carpet manufacturers will start tying their warranties to the Carpet & Rug Institute’s (CRI) Seal of Approval (SOA), four more products have been added to the program—two spot removers and two presprays. Hollytex Spot Remover, from Beaulieu of America, and RE Whittaker’s Crystal Spotter, along with Stay Clean Antisoil by Bullen Cos. and Bonitz presprays from Bonitz Flooring Group have earned the seal. Each passed a series of stringent tests prior to being approved for the seal. These include a product’s stain-removal efficiency, pH factor on dyes and fiber, and colorfastness to light in which pile yarn residues can speed up color changes. There are currently 71 cleaning solutions with SOA designation. For more information, contact CRI’s Carroll Turner at 706.428.2106. |
