| Article | Fashion-forward rugs are in full bloom at Global Craft Imports. Utilizing ancient Tibetan techniques, this Nepalese company creates exquisite hand-knotted rugs in stunning designs. New for Surfaces are three Wools of New Zealand Brand rugs beautifully accented with silk: Irish Blue, Silvano Brown and Sundance. Each is uniquely patterned in intricately rendered botanicals and offered in 6 x 9, 8 x 10, and 9 x 12 sizes. Global Craft Imports also offers retailers a one-of-a-kind loom display, which creatively showcases the complexity involved in weaving a rug. Across the front of the loom are hangers that hold 20 (or 40) sample rugs in 2 x 3 sizes. The total display package includes a rug that is partially woven on the loom, weaving tools, a Color Blanket with individual colors woven into rug swatches, and a full-line catalog. Suggested retail for Irish Blue, Silvano Brown and Sundace ranges from $1,000 to $1,600 for a 6 x 9.
