Atlanta—The long-awaited re-configuration of floor six of the Area Rug Center at AmericasMart continues on a fast track as veteran exhibitors AminCo and Ves-Levi Corp. relocate and expand their shared facilities to almost 3,500 square feet. AminCo/Ves-Levi will now be located in 6D1.

New Jersey-headquartered AminCo was founded in 1983 and encompasses a large and growing family of collections, including Antique and Contempo, Essex, Golbaf, Silken, Mina, Pristine and Jaipur India. Each area rug is hand-knotted by master weavers and crafted using only the finest materials.

Also New Jersey-based, Ves-Levi is a leading supplier of 100% wool, hand-tufted area rugs. Its product mix features contemporary, transitional and traditional designs and colors. Its collections include City Stars, Gabbeh, Casablanca, Sunnit, Tides and Tones.

“Both Ves-Levi and AminCo are committed to AmericasMart, its vision for the future of the Area Rug Center and look with great anticipation to January 2007 as we introduce a number of new lines to retailers from around the world,” said Mikel Banilevi, principal, AminCo.

“AminCo and Ves-Levi are long-time exhibitors and ardent supporters of our markets,” said Chas Sydney, AmericasMart’s senior vice president of floor covering and new business development. “And while inherently different, both companies’ product mixes complement each other perfectly and provide added value to our retailers.”

In other news, after a four-year absence Kane Carpet has returned to the Area Rug Center. Its new 1,550-sq.-ft. showroom—nearly double that of its former space—is located in 6C3 on the recently reconfigured sixth floor.

Founded 47 years ago, Kane today encompasses a large family of collections including the American Dream Collection, Creativity and Elegance, as well as its high-end 2006 broadloom line featuring runners.

“After extensive research we determined the pulse of the industry is in Atlanta and specifically its Winter Market,” said Herb Frank, president of Kane Carpet. “We exhibited in Atlanta four years ago and left. It was a mistake. Atlanta has the key players we really want. We’re excited to be back and eager to showcase our designs and innovative merchandising ideas. We’re especially excited to be one of the few companies that have matching rugs, runners and broadloom—all stocked and ready for immediate delivery. We’re also planning a major showing of broadloom—not a small display hidden in the corner but a fully integrated and diverse showing.”

“Kane’s return to AmericasMart is important for a number of reasons,” concluded Sydney. “Under the visionary leadership of Herb Frank, Kane is spearheading the return of high-end broadloom carpet—in massive and diverse quantities—to the market. Additionally, its unprecendented growth has opened wide the door for Kane to provide an exciting product mix highlighted by rich styling, exceptional color and extraordinary selection.”
