Article | ST. LOUIS, Mo. – ProSource Wholesale Floorcoverings, the largest professionals-only wholesale flooring showroom in North America with more than 200,000 members, recently announced the expansion of its new showroom, a design-centered format intended to better serve their customer base in metropolitan markets. With two existing showrooms in Chicago and Houston, ProSource is slated to open three additional locations in Baltimore/Inner Harbor, North San Diego and Bellevue, Washington this October. ProSource’s development of their new showroom format is part of a national growth strategy that includes a limited number of exclusive franchise territories in top home improvement markets in the U.S. where real estate prices are on the rise. The expansion plan represents a quarter of the company’s overall growth plan to have 20 new locations by the end of 2008. Other targeted metropolitan markets include Seattle, Orange County, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Miami. "As the largest wholesale floorcovering franchise in the U.S., we want to accommodate our members and their clients in urban markets and open ProSource showrooms right in their backyards," said Mark Jameson, vice president of franchise development for ProSource. "Our members no longer have to travel outside the city to have access to the latest flooring trends at the lowest prices." The new showrooms are smaller in size, which allow them to be placed in a variety of new metropolitan locations to introduce ProSource’s 20,000 product offerings to new members and their clients in a more personal shopping environment. In addition to the reduced footprint, the new format offers an urbanized feel that fits the contemporary lifestyles and market tastes of the area residents, while maintaining the visual merchandising appeal and ease in navigation. “Our new showroom format enables ProSource to operate in higher-priced real estate markets while offering members and their clients merchandise at the highest value with a low cost guarantee,” Jameson added. Franchise Opportunities take the Floor Operating under the flooring industry’s premier cooperative CCA Global Partners, ProSource is offering franchise opportunities to all qualified candidates outside the CCA Global network. With a franchise fee of $46,450, ProSource offers a flexible franchise opportunity with excellent ROI potential. The company has close relationships and tremendous buying power with over 110 manufactures, driving inventory and overhead costs down to a minimum for franchise owners. The new showroom formats average 7,000-9,000 square feet, and ProSource provides franchisees with exclusive territories, as well as ongoing marketing, technology and operations support to ensure long-term success. Through the company’s intranet site, franchisees can access information on nearly every aspect of the business 24 hours a day including advertising, marketing, products, pricing and training. All marketing is handled by ProSource home office, so franchisees can focus on their members and quality service. Ideal franchisees are professionals in the trade community who have a solid understanding of the business and industry.
