Fairlawn, OH, Nov. 16—Omnova Solutions’ board of directors has elected James J. Hohman vice president of the company.

Hohman is president of Omnova Solutions' paper & carpet chemicals division, part of the performance chemicals business segment, a position he has held since December of 2000. He joined the company in March 1996 as director of strategic business development for the performance chemicals business segment.
