| Article | Raleigh, N.C.—Pergo has appointed Jamann Stepp as the company’s new national accounts manager, effective immediately. Stepp joins Pergo’s sales department, where his primary responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with executives, managers and buyers of national accounts. He reports directly to Dave McClatchy, Pergo’s specialty retail director. “Jamann has nearly 15 years of sales, management and customer service experience in the flooring industry,” said McClatchy. “He has an insider’s knowledge of the specialty retail business, which will make him an invaluable part of our team as we continue to explore new ways to effectively communicate with as well as incentivize our specialty partners.” Stepp formerly served as director of sales and marketing for the builder and national accounts divisions of International Wholesale Tile, in Palm City, Fla. While in that position, he oversaw all marketing, sales and operations activities, while significantly growing the company’s builder-based and national account businesses. Previously, Stepp worked as hard surface product and marketing brand manager for Shaw Industries, and as operations manager for Queen Carpet. “I’m excited to lend my experience and ideas to the programs Pergo is developing to reach out to its specialty customers,” said Stepp. “I understand the needs and motivations of this important audience and look forward to working closely with these valued partners.” For more about Pergo, call 800/337-3746. —Louis Iannaco |
