| Article | Export, Pa.—Developed using the latest technology, Karndean has introduced two product ranges to its already extensive collection of luxury vinyl floor coverings—the Hand-Crafted Wood Collection and the Antique Ceramic Collection. The two new collections “represent the most realistic and versatile products in the market,” said Jennifer Wargo, marketing assistant. The Hand-Crafted Wood collection is the first of its kind to be authentically reproduced in customized vinyl, she noted. “Unlike any other vinyl product, Karndean’s Hand-Crafted Wood has been developed to realistically replicate the methods used by craftsmen to produce a natural ‘aged look.’ The highly effective technique of creating texture, richness and uniqueness is visible in every contour of the wood.” Available in three hickory tones—Paprika, Peppercorn and Nutmeg—each individual plank features a unique textured surface and softened angled edge, “adding to the effortless realism of the new collection,” said Wargo. Available in a choice of six sophisticated colors, Karndean’s new Antique Ceramic collection “has been carefully designed to replicate the textured surface and realistic coloring of natural ceramic tiles,” she said, “while avoiding the practical drawbacks. “Unlike natural ceramic tiles,” explained Wargo, “Karndean’s Antique Ceramic collection is ideal for our modern way of living. Not only are they easy to care for, durable and hygenic, they are also warm to the touch and quiet underfoot, making them perfect for upper floor rooms or apartments.” Karndean products start from around $3 per square foot and have residential guarantees from 12 to 20 years.
