On September 27, 2025, the company began holding weekly safety meetings involving each of its 48 branches to build an even stronger safety culture.

“Workplace safety has always been a core value at Fishman and our goal is for all employees and visitors to our branches to return home safely and injury free after every workday,” said Shane Richmond, president of Fishman Flooring Solutions. “As a result, our safety record has been good over the years, but good is not sufficient at Fishman today. We will not rest until we have zero injuries and zero truck and forklift incidents every working day.”

The weekly branch meetings will be led by each branch manager and will involve every branch employee, including truck drivers. Employees at Fishman’s smaller branches will participate virtually or by phone in weekly meetings conducted by their regional branch managers.

The safety meetings will cover specific topics including, but not limited to, forklift safety, driving safety, safe material handling, and avoiding slips, trips, and falls. Any injuries or accidents that occur at Fishman locations will be reviewed, so that their root causes can be identified and addressed.

This heightened safety mindset also extends to customers and others. “Our focus on safety doesn’t stop with the Fishman team,” Richmond said. “We want every person who walks through a Fishman branch – whether they are an employee, customer, or vendor – to be in a safe environment and we are doing whatever we can to make that happen.”
