CFI Convention highlights...

Perhaps those that attended the CFI Convention can use this thread to give us some of the highlights experienced.

My personal questions:

  • How was the attendance?
  • Who from our discussion board attended?
  • Was there anything 'new and exciting' discussed?
  • Any new product introductions that stood out?

To answer some of what went on first yes attendence was down some. This has been a tuff year for installers.David Matt said hi.and I will not tell you about his bowling. I will make this fast for I just got home today and do not want to be on to long. You can now recieve a CFI/CTEF AND A NWFA/CFI Certification they have lined themself up with CFI also Mohawk has come on board and will be giving CFI R1 out at their certifications. Then FIANNA has also become a supporter of CFI and will be working close with them. And Jon Namba is working very close with the CRI redoing the 105 and 104 . I need to ge toff but I will let Matt with Floorcovering news fill you in.

Just to brag alittle our Delmarva chapter took the chapter award for the forth strait year.

    Roland,

I smell 'standardization' in the air. These are very significant alliances, don't you think?

You will be seeing the report in the FCI Floorcovering News and others all about it.But to try and answer it to some degree. CFI will be doing tile and hardwood training and also certifications for both CTEF and NWFA they will also be doing it themself but everyone will be using the same training matieral. Mohawk will be doing their training as always but will be promoting CFI and if you go thru their training on the residental side you will get a R-1 CFI certification. FINNA has also spoke out in support.
Jon Namba is one of the main people working on the new CRI 104 & 105.
