IICRC

I'm not looking into this org. But what is the general opinion of these inspectors.

I recieved a copy of a report from one of these inspectors in order to do a warranty for an out of town contractor, I had reviewed the job extensively, and he sure saw things differently than I did!!!!!!!!!

carpet cleaners with little to no installation or manufacturing
knowledge for the most part,

you know, they are like all the inspection organizations, some
good, some bad, depends upon the inspector,,

but, just remember as a whole or group, they lack any kind of
installation experience and a general lack of understanding site
conditions relationship to the products/installation....as far as I
should go,,,,

Lee, Barry know s what a HG is. I like that guy.

I would be a hired gun for the right price, but not a hundred bucks. J/K J/K!!!

I have a IICRC guy who is a great carpet cleaner, but I wouldn't want him installing or inspecting anything...even carpet. OK, maybe he can inspect carpet that is.

It's my belief that if your are able to inspect it, you better be able to to install it to manufacture specs.

Who's that leave out?

now now now, now now now, now now now, ummmmm, ummmm
, duhhhhhhhhhhhhh, duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh~! slap me upside
the head,,,,
you know they say they are the brains in this industry,,,,they clean
dirt, I mean, they are glorified janitors, so, to make themselves feel
better about themselves unlike installers who create objects of
beauty with grace and style, to improve the value of a home or
building,,,,so, they have to build up their egos,,,,you never see a
photo of a "cleaning of the year" award, do you? or, see something
people pay up to fifty grand plus on a custom job, do you?

so, there you go,

Enough disparaging...

This is the purpose of IICRC:

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has served as the Industry Guardian for the cleaning, inspection and restoration service industries for more than 30 years. As a non-profit certification organization, the IICRC helps ensure that you have access to trusted and trained cleaning professionals by establishing and monitoring certification programs and standards for these industries.

To qualify for IICRC-Certified Firm status businesses must demonstrate proof of insurance, maintain a written customer complaint policy with documented follow-up and provide ongoing education and training leading to certification for all technicians. IICRC Certified Firms are also required to abide by the IICRC Code of Ethics. Services provided by IICRC- Certified professionals range from flooring inspection and cleaning to mold remediation to water and fire damage restoration.

This is a noble organization that has made significant contributions in our industry for more than 30 years...

he has a site to run, and he is being fair and even handed to all,,,,I
mean, this shows he really is serious about that if he is defending
those guys!
but, educated him anyway,
example, unitary is defective because it won't stretch in over
rebond pad....never mind.
