ok, guys, this year should be interesting, I heard there is suppose to be some very heavy coverage of engineered wood,, with some big time hard hitters,,,,
sure would be a shame if a few people I know missed it,,,,
and maybe one night, a trip to Beal St. for some BBQ? umm, some blues? sounds like fun to me!
one year, I went to Graceland!

No doubt.
THE NOFMA program is the best there is. No free rides, no cheap certifications, no easy way to earn certification....... ya gotta earn this one and pass the "Integrity Test". MIckey has to ride with you one or two times to observe then read all wood reports you do.
If you cannot stand to have somebody looking over your shoulder or review your reports, or work hard and long to obtain a certification;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; This program is not for you.
I cry all the time

You mean Micky will fly out here to Tucson and ride with me in my jalopy?
Ray, I told you before that I took NOFMA/NWFA classes before you know what wood was.
That was when Daniel Boone was doing them. I have proof.

come on now, big dude! this is where you need to be,,,,I know you have a son in college but take the hit now! and make more next year so he can sponge more from you for graduate school!
It is time old, trusted and valued friend, to come to Memphis,,,,you can call Monday and be in the class this year.
Well? Dude, it is worth it, and, the knowledge does not end with one week, he works with you all the time educating you by editing and going over the reports, after he teaches you Data Collection.
I have been to the NWFA, and there is no comparison, none,,,,,Memphis is the place to be or be square!

Stephen, I went to the Installation Course when Daniel Boone was there too. Must be 11, 12, or so, years ago.... I have proof too... on my web page.
Let's see,,,, 12 years ago you would still be learning to read.

Ray, remember now, Stephen is a good , kind, generous giving man who does not indulge in such activities.....
hey, Mr. Boone was there when I went back in 2001,,,,he is there a lot,,,,I think even today,,,,met him at the convention this year,,,,he is a good man, unlike someone here we all know.......never mind,
time for dinner,,,,it is Saturday, I get a York Mint tonight!

yes, that is part of the deal, as well as submitting reports he edits, then goes over them with you,,,you do the inspection, turn in a report and notes, all the data you collected, he reviews, edits, and then goes over it as a teaching tool about wood and wood installations....then one day after a few years, you line up a few inspections, and he flies out, and he rides with you doing the inspections watching how you do them,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and helping you learn more by helping and teaching on that day....

The NOFMA program will help any inspector learn to collect evidence and data. The techniques learned I now use to inspect and collect data on all other floors.
STephen, if you were ever serious about being an inspector and wanted a Certfication that was of REAL Value;;;
Call Mickey Today and he can better explain.

Stephen, this thread is in regard to the NOFMA inspector certification, not installer training.
I also attended training with Daniel, which I believe was a NOFMA/NWFA hosted event.
