I see Roger is a Speaker or Moderator

Site conditions will be Roger's area of responsibility at the FITS/Installer Event.

I'd be interested in a definition of "site conditions".

What do ya say Roger? Did I put you on the spot? Smile

Ya wanna know how I got that? It is a lunch time discussion, they looked at pictures and said "Fat boy can afford to miss a meal with the least bad effect".

I plan on focusing on the aspect of the necessity of checking for moisture, pH, substances such as parting compounds on slabs etc. Will also mention temperature and inadequate subfloor preparation.

I am aquiring info on where a subcontractor stands, legally if he goes ahead and installs at less than optimum conditions and a failure happens.

Roger:

Commercial Code.

Might be helpful to read the articles on this site written by the attorney.

Time is a problem for me and I won't be able to attend this meeting.

I think this is a good idea.

Right now we have www.FloorReports.com, www.QuestInspect.com to manage as well as our own private inspection services.
This past week, business picked up dramatically over previous weeks and don't know why.... I'm thinking there may be fewer inspectors today compared to last quarter...

It would be fun meeting all of you, but no time for fun this year with all that is on our plate..

Enjoy the meeting and I think Tandy is doing the industry a good service with this event.

To define "Site Conditions", I think one must start with:
1. Site conditions prior to installation.
2. Site conditions during installation.
3. Site Conditions after installation.

The thing about concrete: The vapor will not move from the concrete if the RH in the building is 80% or more leaving the CC tests invalid...
So the building Acclimation is turned on after installation and the floor fails simply because the vapor/moisture begins to move out of the concrete with the Relative Humidity lowering to 40% or 50%.......

How can the inspection community determine this scenario? It happens all too often as most CC tests are not valid due to the building environment at time of testing.
