The Internet.... It is today and the Future

I keep hearing the Internet is not the way to go to market your services.
WRONG !!

I keep hearing that the Retired community is not computer literate....WRONG again.

In Florida, I see mostly the retired folks and most of them have computers hooked to the internet. I see these computers when I inspect and they often have my information printed out from the Internet.

Every week, I receive at least 7 or 8 calls about flooring failures and inspection fee requests from consumers who have found me over the internet. Out of these calls I inspect between one and two consumers every week. This may not sound like many inspections, but when you add these one or two consumers on top of the Manufacturing Inspections,, it is a big help. Oh, but wait!! There is an online service for manufacturers, Distributors to use and I get between 6 and 10 per month from that service.

The internet works !! Installers should have the ability to promote using the internet without a high cost.

Any ideas on how that can be accomplished?

Internet, the most cost effective way to go Global

The Internet has enabled many businesses to tap into the Global market effectively and inexpensively.

In many cases, by utilizing search engine optimization methods, high natural rankings in the search engines have been achieved and this has resulted in not only an increase in traffic (click-thrus) but has translated in increased e-commerce as well.

Installers can register on flooring directories, many times for free, as well as create company websites and utilize the 'Power of the Web' to increase their revenue potential.

On FloorBiz, people who are looking for installers in their area simply need to do a Zip Code search from our main page. All of the flooring companies as well as installers who work in that area and that are registered on FloorBiz will be displayed.

With over 3 1/2 million unique sessions last year, we are one of the largest flooring resource sites on the Internet.

The search results don't differentiate the types of trades or companies. If you are registered and in that Zip Code area, you will show up (even inspectors).

I've been playing with search engines by placing various search terms into the search engines.

FloorBiz and Designbiz pop up almost as much as FloorReports/FlooringExpert/Statewideinspection.com...

Smile
Just kidding......... Floor and Designbiz are all over the internet...
