My tri colored Sheltie/ Little brat

In case you've never dealt with this breed of dog, let me first tell you, they can be quite smart--for a dog. I just realized what my dog was doing. Each night I would come home, I'd grab a burger from a fast food resturant and I'd grab my dog one too. It might be chicken or whatever and he got the same. Once in awhile I didn't get him anything, so I'd feed him dog food.

The other nite Lance--my Shelties name--barked twice at about 330 in the morning and woke me up. I looked out the window to make sure no prowlers and just laid there. I wondered why he woke me and then I remembered he'd done that 2 other times and at all 3 times, I ate-out and didn't bring him some.

The little brat was waking me, because he wasn't getting his share. I made sure that is what was happening.

I get down on the floor and play with him for about 15 or 20 minutes each nite and he is always getting in my face, wanting to smell my breath, to know what I ate. I also have to brush him about twice a week.

I also had a Sheltie (years ago), Jim. Great dog with quite a personality.
