Visit the site and look to Stephens answers, he is absolutely right on the majority of his claim.

I say the above is wrong, Stephen. If you believe it's right, then you should be able to explain how and why, so that a fifth grader can understand.
I don't say so to argue, but to show proof.

Stephen, consider concrete and how the longer it takes to cure, the stronger it becomes.
The glue on many jobs 10 and 12 years old has still been wet when I pulled old carpet off the floor.
It would seem to me, that glue needs to retain moisture and never really cure, to remain as viable as possible.
When we take-up old carpet and the glue has dried-out, it turns to dust, aye?
Here's a question for ya, --What are the reasons a glue dries-out and turns to dust?

The slower the cure, the stronger the bond?
The faster the better?
Depends on whether the adhesive is water based and dries or not water based and cures...

In all the years I've installed carpet, I've used only water based glues, with a lot of solids. In other words, nothing but the best. At present, that is Roberts 3300, with the red lid.
The slower the cure the better, with water based glues and concrete.

agreed.
now what about Urethane based adhesives that cure compared to water based adhesives that dry?
