Lee I agree we need to work together to up the bar in the industry for the installers. One of the problems I see is you are getting more and more people that are doing ( mostly wood and laminate ) that are doing it as a 2nd job and will cut price's driving down the price. It is and will be a long and hard road but it can happen. Stephen I have no problem getting more mony from any of the mills be it carpet ,wood or anything, The tech's are more then happy and to get you more to fix. I guess I am luck for I have most all the mills tech's cell numbers and have even called them on sat and talked to them. Example, Installer called me said carpet had a flaw in it I went out and looked finding a shear mark going all the way across the carpet called the tech said I had enough carpet to cut it out make a head seam ( easy carpet to seam ) and fix it, He said go head and he would take care of sending me something for it. Two weeks later I got a check for 250.00 bucks for one seam. What I am saying is the tech's are guy's like us and they do care and will try and help you all you need to do is ask.

None taken. I have found that if the tech's get to know you and they know you are always trying to better yourself thru training and they know you are honest then trying to get them to ok extra charges are easy.
FD Hope everyone had a good Christmas
