Dutch Hotel Puts City Street Map on the Floor
The CitizenM Hotel has carpeted five floors of bedroom corridor with 650 square metres of carpeting depicting an aerial view of the Dutch capital.
The CitizenM Group chose Desso because of its design capacity, making it one of the very few carpet manufacturers in the world able to manage, in-house, one-off special projects from design to delivery.
The Amsterdam city centre image was taken from a satellite photograph, and rendered in a number of colourways for CitizenM to choose from. The unique pattern in one of the corridors is 60 metres long.
