iQ Power Tools to feature iQ228 Cyclone at Coverings 2021
100% compliant with the new OSHA standard on respirable silica dust, the iQ228CYCLONE® was developed to eliminate problems caused by cutting with water. The saw uses a three-stage filtration system, which captures up to 99.5% of the dust. All the dust from the cutting point passes through this filtration system and is then captured in the dust tray for easy clean up. This dust tray handles up to 5 pounds before it needs to be discarded.
• Stage 1: Heavy Debris Filtration
• Stage 2: Cyclonic Filtration (Fine Particles)
• Stage 3: iQ Dura Bond Filter Cartridge (Super Fine Particles)
The new iQ228CYCLONE has the ability to produce a depth cut up to 1 1/4”... and can handle 18” rip with rolling table or 24"+ with locked table.
In addition, iQ has introduced the new TRU-CUT® System for extreme accuracy while cutting. The TRU-CUT System is an integrated measuring system that provides consistant and accurate cuts. It is designed with 1” premeasured increments across the width of the iQ228CYCLONE’s rolling table as well as presets for 45 and 22 degrees cuts. It also includes two removable fences.
One of those fences is the truly innovative iQ Micro Fence. This removable and adjustable fence allows the user to adjust each cut by 1/32 of an inch.
“The iQ228CYCLONE is a complete game changer,” stated Jim Mackall, president of iQ Power Tools. “This light-weight, tabletop saw eliminates water from tile-cutting, helping contractors to set tile smarter, safer and more efficiently. They can cut right where they are working; saving time, money and messy cleanups.”
iQ Power Tools manufactures a comprehensive range of premium power tools with integrated dust collection systems for the concrete, masonry, hardscape and tile sectors. The company was founded by third-generation masons Joel and Paul Guth, who have logged over 30 years each in the masonry industry. Decades of experience taught them about dust problems; their company started out creating tools to solve their own problems only to realize these same issues affected all contractors’… mess, money and a threat to the health and safety of the industry. iQ Power Tools envisions a future where their innovation helps create a 100% dust free environment: jobsites are safer, work practices are healthier... and, the construction industry becomes even more sustainable. www.iQPowerTools.com
