Finale Emilia, 16 May 2018 – At Coverings, North America’s most eagerly anticipated and widely attended event in the ceramic sector, ABK has displayed a series of new products that stand out for their technological innovation, aesthetic and material research, high-definition digital decoration and Italian design. At the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta from 8 to 11 May 2018, the ABK exhibit (booth #2517 in the Italian pavilion) has showcased the new LAB325 and NEST collections and has presented new applications of large-size tiles, products that are becoming increasingly popular in architecture and interior design thanks to the playfully decorative appeal of WIDE&STYLE ceramic wallpapers.

LAB325 explores the varied aesthetics of concrete in the three different surfaces Base, Form and Metal as part of a contemporary stylistic moodboard dominated by sophisticated colours and industrial influences. The name of the project links the number 325, the code for the cement powder widely used to make concrete, with the concept of a laboratory as a melting pot of ideas and creative experimentation.

NEST is the new ABK collection with a strong personality inspired by the aesthetics of reclaimed wood. The graphics of NEST reveal a wealth of details and an astonishing three-dimensional effect, while reproducing the material’s varied tones and colours, cracks and even holes caused by woodworm. With its aged aesthetic enhanced by traces of cement filler, the collection fits in with the industrial trend popular in today’s living spaces.

The WIDE&STYLE collection includes geometric, floral and luxury patterns and even incorporates the viral phenomenon of Colouring Books. With this wall tile collection, ABK caters for the widespread need for customisation and uniqueness in contemporary design by providing decorative solutions available in 160x320 cm, 120x240 cm and 60x120 cm sizes.
