Finale Emilia, 21 June 2017 – Consisting of three original and versatile collections due to be officially launched at this year’s Cersaie in Bologna, ABK’s new Crossroad range stands out for its unique blend of materials and colours and marks a new milestone in minimalist style surfaces. Chalk, Wood and Brick, the three individual collections in the Crossroad range, offer a sophisticated play of coordinating colours inspired by a variety of original materials, with a preference for clean, geometric shapes and the expressive use of colour as a new form of decoration.

Crossroad Chalk draws inspiration from the world of plaster, reproducing its specific particle size and dynamic surface effect. The three-dimensional graphic look and light texture make the product extremely hard-wearing without affecting the soft-touch sensation of the ceramic surface. Crossroad Wood interprets the minimal-chic spirit of wood with an elegant overall look and 6 colours inspired by both natural wood and coloured parquet, as well as having a ceramic surface that stands out for the almost complete absence of reflections. The Crossroad Brick majolica-effect white body wall tiles are suitable for a variety of installation solutions that lend prestige to interiors. Brick tiles, with their textured surfaces and shaped edges, emphasise the sophisticated, material appeal of the glossy glaze, creating a fascinating contrast with the matt surfaces of Chalk and Wood.

During the international ceramic tile exhibition Cersaie in Bologna from 25 to 29 September, ABK will push back the boundaries of ceramic materials and illustrate their potential and possible uses in all residential and non-residential applications, including as coverings for furniture and accessories. These novel solutions make full use of ABK’s WIDE range of porcelain panels produced in sizes up to 320x160 cm and a thickness of just 7 mm to ensure the maximum flexibility in all areas of application.
