Minimum of $290 to test) Lightweight, Base-grade, Tufted carpet – Two Years Experience Installer possesses ability to install carpet in track houses, apartments, and manufactured housing, etc. Answer written and oral questions for R –I Figure diagram with seam placement and yardage Successfully complete EPA and OSHA tests Demonstrate proper powerstretching techniques Construct lengthgrain and crossgrain seams in stretch-in and direct-glue installations Correctly apply seam sealer/latex Upholster stair with spindles Understand basics of pattern alignment Understand floor preparation and doorway terminations Correctly identify carpet and backings (5) Demonstrate the technique of top row cutting COMMERCIAL I ($145 - Cannot be tested for without the R I Category. Minimum of $290 to test) Lightweight, Basegrade – 2 Years Experience A Commercial I Installer possesses the ability to perform work properly in strip malls, small commercial installations, single office or small retail establishments. Answer all written and oral test questions for C-I Successfully complete OSHA and EPA Test Figure diagram with seam placement and yardage Identify the carpet and backings (5) Recognize floor preparation procedures Apply seam sealer/latex correctly Demonstrate the technique of top row cutting Understand correct adhesive and proper trowel sizes Understand temperature and moisture issues Knowledgeable concerning terminations of carpet to the other surfaces/wallbase Demonstrates proper use of powerstretcher and pattern matching Install upholstered stair
