In 1937, Carlos and Howard Wright opened Wright Furniture in downtown Hannibal, Missouri. Their dream? To offer great quality furniture at everyday low prices. Their family oriented way of doing business, and their reputation of "service after the sale" soon had the attention of the furniture buying public for miles around. Through good times and bad, their business flourished. The good news? After over 70 years, and three generations of the Wright family, that story has not changed.

2004 brought another addition, as the 3rd generation of the Wright family purchased Robinson's Furniture...another family-based store, just down the highway in Bowling Green. In dedication to our founder the store was renamed Howard's. It, too, shared the common thread of "treat the customer right"...and of offering the best value and quality available to their rural customers.

Continued growth came with the addition of Waters Furniture in Vandalia, Missouri in 2005. Long known as "Missouri's LARGEST Small Town Furniture Store", this historically, well-known collection of furniture-filled buildings in downtown Vandalia was established by W.S. Waters in 1892, and has become a landmark in Missouri...drawing savvy furniture buyers from as far away as St. Louis, Kansas City, Columbia, Jefferson City, Lake of the Ozarks and even downstate Illinois.
