This process usually is divide by 3 pass of different grain of sand paper from the corse one to the fine. Finishing a new floor is a process to sanding the wood to have a uniform surface. We start off sanding the floors with a rough grit sand paper then we move to a finer grit for the las t a very fine grit screen to have the surface smooth.

FINISHING & refinishing
Refinishing Existing Floors is a 3-steps process. We start off sanding the floors with a rough grit sand paper to ensure all of the existing polyurethane and/or stain is completely removed. Then we move to a finer sand paper to smooth the floor. Finally, we buff the floors with a very fine grit screen which ensures a super smooth surface for finishing.

If is desired apply different color to the wood we apply a coat of stain color sample direct on the floor to be choose, today we have a large variety of colors ask for the color palete.

For retaining the natural beauty, we apply 3 solid coats of commercial grade oil-base polyurethane or environmentally friendly water-base polyurethane.

In between the coats of polyurethane, we do a very fine sanding to ensure the correct bonding of the polyurethane and a smooth finish coat.
